Dateline: Monroe, NC Boyce Cray Hill, 90, passed away December 10, 2010. He was born in Union County on March 16, 1920, son of the late Appleton Boyce and Eula Mae Cox Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Earl Wesley Hill; his brother, Dennis Hill and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be Monday, December 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Walters Family Cemetery. The family will visit with family and friends Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 3 – 5 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Mr. Hill is survived by his son, Arnold Cray Hill of Monroe; daughters, Bonnie Ravonne Pender of Matthews, Barbara Lemmonds of Mineral Springs and Sylvia Hill of Monroe brothers Devon Hill of Mint Hill, Dillon Hill of Monroe and Olin Hill of Punta Gorda, FL; sisters Edith Fincher, Vera Little and Jeanette Morrow, all of Monroe; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
