Bradley Scott Couick, 47, of Waxhaw, NC passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 12:30 PM after fighting a brave and tireless battle with cancer. Brad was born in Union County, NC in the city of Monroe on August 29, 1976.


Brad was a beloved member of his community. He was known for his kind, giving spirit, his fierce love of his family and friends, his contagious laugh, his unforgettable sense of humor, his incredible hugs and his unshakable faith in Our Lord, Jesus Christ.


His family will receive friends as the community pays respects to Brad from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2024 at:

A celebration of Brad’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at their family church:

After the service, there will be a grave side burial at the church where Brad, his parents and siblings attended as he grew up. That location is:

There will also be a meal following the burial in the Family Life Center of the church.


Brad is survived by several members his family. His loving parents, Warren Dale Couick and Bronda Sistare Couick; his devoted wife of ten years, Shauna Hausle Couick and three beautiful children who were his world; Two daughters, Sarah Couick (age 7) and Gwyneth Couick (age 4) his son, Reece Couick (age 2). He is also survived by his brother and sister, both who loved him dearly: Jeff Couick, of Rock Hill, SC, and Leslie James, her husband, Winston and their sons, Wyatt and Walker, all of Tallahassee, FL. A special thank you to Leslie who selflessly supported and cared for Brad’s family during the last few months of his life. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Kathleen Hausle of Lancaster, SC, his sister-in-law, Renea Mueller, and her husband Bill of Appleton, NY; his niece Sabrina Moran of Barker, NY, his sister-in-law Melody K. Fancett of Holland, NY, his niece, Victoria Orsted and her husband Edward.of Lancaster, SC and his nephew Daniel R. Fancett of Vernon, NY. Brad is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert J. Hausle.


Brad’s true zest for life, his overwhelming love of his beautiful family and the unbelievable outpouring of the number of people that he touched with his character are a testament to the kind of life he lived, which serves as an example for the rest of us. May we always remember him as he was before his illness when his health provided him the opportunity to enjoy everything his life had to offer and also his bravery and gentleness as he fought his cancer. He never let his illness define him and in so doing overcame the final test of a man’s ability to accomplish a life well-lived, regardless of the circumstances.



In lieu of flowers, Brad’s wish was that donations would be made to Wonders & Worries, an organization that supports children of parents with serious illness or injury.
