Brenda Griffin Gordon

Dateline: Monroe, NC Brenda Griffin Gordon, 67, passed away March 30, 2012. She was born in Mecklenburg County on August 8, 1944, daughter of Agnes Helms Griffin and the late Clegg Griffin. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dink Griffin. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. A graveside service will be Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Waxhaw City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by her husband, John Calvin Gordon of Monroe; sons, Mark and wife Teresa Gordon, Scott and wife Kelly Gordon and Todd and wife Kim Gordon, all of Monroe; daughter Sonya Griffin of Anderson, SC; sisters, Janet and husband Jimmy Greene, Patricia and husband Smitty Ferguson, both of Monroe and Gail Surrett of Asheville; grandchildren, Kristen Gordon, Taylor Fortson, Ashlyn Hutchinson, Ethan and Rylie Gordon, J.T. and Cody Gordon and Timmy Griffin; and her caregiver, Doris McManus.
