Brenda Helms Hilton

Brenda Joyce Helms Hilton, 81, of Monroe, NC passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, July 2, 2023. She was born in Union County on April 30, 1942, to the late Graham Vance Helms and Letha Parker Helms. Brenda is also preceded in death by her husband of 28 years Charles Dennis Hilton whom she married on August 5, 1961.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 4013 New Town Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM in the church sanctuary.

Brenda graduated from Benton Heights High School in 1960 and Kings College in 1961 (Secretarial Course). She was a lifetime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Waxhaw, NC, and was the organist there since 1957, she loved her church family and had a strong faith in God.

During her married life, she and Dennis enjoyed trips to the beach, traveling around the United States, and her good cooking and baking. She enjoyed the regular get-togethers with her high school friends. Brenda loved the lord, her family, Union County, Monroe, and music.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Deneen Hilton, son, Charles Dennis Hilton Jr., “Chuck”. wife Debora, granddaughters Rebekah E. Graham (Scottie), and Rebekah's mother Pam, Victoria P. Casey (Sean), great-grandchildren Blake Graham and Carson Graham and Anson Casey and Ivory Casey, along with several cousins.
