Brenda Price Little

Brenda Price Little, 84, of Monroe, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. She was born in Union County, NC on November 14, 1940, daughter to the late Lloyd Thurman Price and Betty Simpson Price. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Lamar Price and Norris Price; three sisters, Bobbie Hamilton, Carol Pressley, and Joann Synpes.

Brenda served as a teacher assistant for 25 years in the public school system. She worked with special needs students at the Wolfe School and Piedmont Middle School, while concluding her career with many years of service at Unionville Elementary School. Her greatest passion was teaching children how to read and meeting their emotional needs. She would often bring her students home to spend time on the family farm, pick strawberries, and administer to their spirit during difficult times in their life.

Brenda was quick-witted, never met a stranger, and a prayer warrior. She had a gift for loving people with ease and a servant’s heart. She loved cooking meals and desserts and delivering them to those in need. After retirement, she delivered meals to shut-ins with the Meals on Wheels program. She also enjoyed serving in her local church, Ebenezer Baptist. Brenda’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She kept all of her grandchildren before they entered the public school system, teaching them how to make a pound cake, weed the flowers, and training them to earn their golf cart “license”. Brenda was a master in the kitchen. Her family enjoyed gathering around the table and eating, especially her chicken and dumplings. Brenda was a wonderful wife who served Edd with love for over 64 years of marriage. Anyone who knew them, knew they loved each other well, as Christ loved His church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1417 Unionville-Indian Trail Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079, with burial to follow in Price Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of over 64 years, Edd Morrison Little; sons, Greg Little (Ruth), Kevin Little (Cristina) and daughter, Beth Walker; two brothers, Marnie Price (Rachel) and Ted Price (Judy); and sister, Wanda Thomas (Jimmy); five grandchildren, Sam Little, Clara Little, Chloe Little, Beau Walker, and Chad Smith (Randi).
