Brenda Kay O'Kelly

Brenda Kay Huneycutt O’Kelly, 80, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was born in Stanly County, August 28, 1942, daughter of the late Reece Huneycutt and Vassie Lambert Huneycutt.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Gordon Funeral Chapel with burial following at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM prior to the service at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.

Brenda was an avid and talented artist specializing in painting. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Brenda is survived by her husband and love of her life for 64 years, Robert L. O’Kelly, daughters; Robin O’Kelly Ross, Tamera O’Kelly Mosley (Russell), Christina O’Kelly Hough (Chris), Wendy O’Kelly Bunch (Jack), grandchildren; Andrew Ross, Joshua Ross, Nicole Gill, Natalie Jarrell, Nathan Mosley, Caitlynn Hough, Brendan Hough, Emma Meaux, and Andrea Bunch, great-grandchildren; Hailey Jarrell, Wyatt Mosley, William Mosley, Blakely Gill and Fiona Bach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Park Rd., Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
