Brian Ray Deese, 43, of Monroe, NC, passed away July 1, 2019.
Brian will be remembered for many things. Those that stand out most are his smile, contagious laughter and willingness to help others. Brian always had a joke and a little dance, which was a special part of his personality. Brian loved his family more than anything, especially his daughter, Rayleigh Grace. His face lit up when he talked about her and a smile never left his face when he was with her. Brian would frequently be found supporting family and friends, whether that was cheering them on at sporting events, attending special life moments or lending an ear to listen and give advice. Brian will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched, which is too many to count.
Brian is preceded in death by his mother, Dana Jennifer Dyer (Jim Dyer), maternal grandparents, Daniel and Maxine Barbee, and paternal grandmother, Ella Mae Deese.
He is survived by his daughter, Rayleigh Grace Deese; father, Charlie Ray Deese; sister, Dana Deese Hasty (Dameian J. Hasty); one niece, Cameron Alyse Roark; two nephews, Aaron Scott Hasty and Austin Cole Hasty; his Aunt Fredia Barbee, Uncle Jerry Barbee (Patti Barbee), Aunt Doris Freeman (Frank Freeman), Aunt Jo Carolyn Deese; and his cousins, Deirdre, Chad, Meredith (Miracle), Jonathan, Jody, Michael, Scottie, Chris, Heather, and Terrence.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00pm until 3:35pm.
