Byron Max “Bo” Starnes II, 59, of Marshville, NC passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was born in Union County on December 22, 1962. He is preceded in death by his father Max Starnes.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at East Campus of the First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, 6140 W. Marshville Blvd, Marshville, NC 28103.
He will lie in state prior to the service from 10:00AM until 10:45AM. The family will receive friends and relatives following the service in the church sanctuary.
Byron, or Bo as many knew him by, loved the Lord and his family. He would say his greatest times were those spent traveling, playing music for Jesus. He was always ready to share his testimony, and thought it was his responsibility to make everyone laugh. A devoted husband and faithful friend. His faith has become Sight.
Byron is survived by his loving wife Deborah Witherow Starnes, mother Brenda Carpenter Honeycutt and step-father Gerald Honeycutt, son Jonathon Starnes and step-daughter Brandy Baucom (Lane), sisters, Darlene Price (Rocky) and Annette Skinner (Norman), brothers Kirk Honeycutt (Lydia), Dale Honeycutt (Sharon) and Michael Honeycutt (Cyndi), His wife’s family who was like his own, mother-in-love Vert Witherow, brothers-in-love, Ernie Forrester (Heather), Matt Witherow (Donna), Billy Forrester, sister-in-love, Marilyn Milam (Randy), honorary daughter Jessica Moree Edwards (David), honorary granddaughter Anna-Kay Turley.
He had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and he loved them all as his own.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation Inc., 118 North Bedford Road, Suite 100, Mount Kisco, NY 10549-2555.
