Caleb Jackson Goodman, 23, of Monroe, NC passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. He was born in Union County, NC on August 2, 2001 son to Daniel “Danny” Goodman and Lesa Rice Goodman. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Shelba Austin Goodman.

A funeral service to celebrate the beautiful life of Caleb will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110 with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM in the church sanctuary.

Caleb was a great mentor, great coach, extremely hardworking, loyal, loving, and a great friend. He was so proud of his role as a Bearcat teacher and coach. He was so proud of his boys. He came to work everyday and truly loved what he did. His presence will be irreplaceable. Caleb worked at Fort Caswell for three summers and one summer at Victory Junction. Caleb dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring young people with an unwavering love for Jesus. He was truly a blessing to those he came in contact with and will be missed beyond measure.

Caleb is survived by his parents as well as his brothers, Joshua Goodman and Aaron Goodman, paternal grandfather Richard Jackson Goodman, maternal grandparents James “Louie” Rice and Lorena Epley Rice; aunts and uncles, Sharon Kiddy (Steve), Dawn Ferguson (Denny); cousins, Tate Ferguson and Lexi Ferguson.
