Callie Helms

Dateline: Monroe, NC Callie Helms, 84, passed away November 30, 2012. She was born June 10, 1928, daughter of the late Charles Price and Connie McCoy Helms. She was preceded in death by her husband Emery Richard Helms. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Shining Light Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Ms. Helms is survived by a son, David and wife Robin Helms of Monroe; a daughter, Hazel and husband Mike Jones of Monroe; a brother, T. C. Helms of Matthews; a sister, Myrtle Privette of Matthews, grandchildren, Calvin McCarver, Jr. and Caitlin McCarver. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
