Carl Junior Haigler

Carl Junior Haigler, 83, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Union County on June 14, 1931, son of the late Gus William and Bessie Mae Rushing Haigler. Mr. Haigler has served as a Deacon for over 50 years at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon in August of 1962. Funeral services will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 3619 Morgan Mill Rd., Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Mr. Haigler is survived by his son, Carl Richard Haigler and wife Jae of Wingate and Dennis Lynn Haigler and wife Rene’ of Monroe; and grandchildren, Ethan Haigler, Cory Haigler, Elizabeth Haigler Price, and Kasey Anne Haigler, great grandchildren, Colton, and Paisley Haigler, brothers, Donald Haigler and wife Jane, sisters, Pauline Sutherland, Zee Stokes and husband Charles, Pat Polk and husband Heath, and Sue Boyd and husband Bruce. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Martha Elizabeth Haigler. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his brothers, Brice Haigler, Hilton Haigler, and Jerry Haigler.
