Carlton Mitchell Witmore

Carlton Mitchell Witmore, 56, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016. He was born June 24, 1959 in Union County, son of Addie Nance Witmore and the late James Clyde Witmore. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. He served many friends by taking care of their cars, and he also cared for his mother. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and received an Associates in Applied Science degree from South Piedmont Community College. Funeral services will be Monday, April 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with family and friends beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Witmore is survived by his daughters, Crystal Witmore and Kayla Witmore, both of Charlotte; brother, Myron Witmore (Lana) of Vancouver, Canada; sisters, Dale McCutchen of Monroe and Barbara Witmore ( Dennis Ingle) of La Plata, New Mexico; and nieces and nephews, Blair, Emily, Angela and Bryan.
