Carolle Jean Penegar MINERAL SPRINGS - Mrs. Carolle Jean Penegar, 76, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at Presbyterian Hospital, Matthews. She was born in Union County, NC, on June 24, 1936, daughter of the late Harold Houston and Mae Suzzane Little Helms. Carolle Jean was a secretary for Perfect Fit Industries in Monroe for 24 years. She also was a very caring person who loved doing for others. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she also loved flowers and music. The family will receive family and friends Monday, May 13, 2013, at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Mineral Springs United Methodist Church, 5905 Old Waxhaw Monroe Rd., Monroe, NC 28112. Carolle Jean was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Ware Hipps Penegar Jr.; two sons, Michael Ware Penegar and Gene Houston Penegar; daughter, Janice Gwynn Penegar Bowers all of Monroe; sister, Betty Jo Ross of Monroe; and grandchildren Kyle, Dylan, Natalie and Jacob Penegar, Lindsey and Leah Bowers.
