Carroll Benjamin Angel

Carroll Benjamin “Chief” Angel, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2021. He was born in Martinsville, VA, the son of the late Howard George Angel and Dorothy Jane Clements Angel. He honorably served 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. A private inurnment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Charlotte Simpson Angel; four sons, Jon Angel, Gene Angel and wife Cecilia, Dean Angel and David Angel and fiancée Jessica; one step-daughter Candace Hinson and husband Joel; one sister, Jackie Clark; six grandchildren, Trenton Angel and fiancée Shanna, Gina Angel, Bryse Angel, Lauren Fondren and husband Blake, Emily Cooper and husband Chris and Jenna Simpson and fiancé Luke; and one great-grandson, Bentley Cooper.
