Catherine Hartis Moore, 93, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. She was born in Union County, NC on April 25, 1921 daughter of the late Robert L. and Blondena Blanchard Hartis. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Mrs. Moore is survived by sons, James R. Moore and wife Stella, Donald W. Moore and wife Martha, daughter, Cheryle M. Gouge and husband Max, brother, Clayton Hartis and wife Kate all of Indian Trail, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Moore and a brother, Herbert Hartis. The family would like to thank the staff of Aldersgate for the loving care during the past two years, along with Novant Harris Hospice for their assistance in the recent months.
