Charles "Jeff" Davis

July 5, 1952 — July 3, 2015

Charles Jefferson Davis, Jr., better known as Jeff passed away Friday, July 3, 2015. He was born July 5, 1952. Jeff was married to his high school sweetheart Hazel Long Davis and together they resided in the New Salem community. He had two children, Jeff Davis of Winston-Salem and Beth Davis Dandrow and son-in-law, Ken of Monroe; five grandchildren, Bradley and Alyssa Davis of Winston-Salem, Kaleb, Bryan and Reva Dandrow of Monroe; mother, Betty Davis of New Salem; two sisters, Cindi Heafner and husband, Dennis of Monroe and Lori Lette and husband, Terry of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Davis and a brother, Mike Davis. Jeff's smile and laughter was contagious. He was always jovial in a world that didn't always lend a smile. He loved to watch his garden grow, loved to fish and to ride his motorcycle. Jeff and his wife traveled many miles across the USA and through Canada. His best days were when he was surrounded by his grandchildren and as many family members and friends that could gather. He was all about his family and spending time with them. He loved everyone and was loved by everyone. Jeff was a hero to all kids. He held a special place in the hearts of his family and will be dearly missed by all. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 128 South Tryon St., Suite 1588 Charlotte, NC 28202. Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112, is caring for the Davis family. Online condolences may be made at www.gordonfuneralservice.com
