Charles Gore Williams

Charles Gore Williams, 77, of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was born in Union County, NC on October 21, 1946 son to the late Pete Gore Williams and Hazel Conder Williams. He is also preceded in death by his sons, Andrew “Andy” Gore Williams, and Jamie Benton, and sister Elizabeth Ann “Cookie” Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park, with Masonic rights.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Gore is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cheryl Williams, sons, Chris Benton (Bridget), and Rodney Williams (Beth), daughter-in-law, Tracy Williams, and six grandchildren, Kail, Noah, Addison, Claire, Ryan, and Mikey, great-grandchild, Kally Rose Purser. He is also survived by his beloved fur baby Harley.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110, or Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110.
