Charles Neal Tarlton

Charles Neal Tarlton, 85, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. He was born in Union County, NC on August 9, 1928 son of the late William Loumis and Dora Williams Tarlton. Mr. Tarlton was a US Army veteran, an avid Atlanta Braves fan, gardener and a motorcycle rider. He was a retired employee of Yale Security. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013, 2:00 PM at Mountain Springs Baptist Church, 2509 Mountain Springs Church Rd., Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Tarlton is survived by his wife, Ann Pressley Tarlton, son, Jerry Tarlton and wife Lynne of Marietta, GA, daughters, Karen Kiker and husband Randy of Wingate, Michelle Hannon and husband Heath of Monroe, brothers, Wilson Tarlton of Oakboro, Raeford and Donald Tarlton both of Monroe, sisters, Rachel Blackman of Mint Hill and Lanelle Richardson of Monroe, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Oscar and Boyce Tarlton, and sisters, Alma Smith and Odell Edwards, The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
