Charles Ray Springs, 78, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013. He was born in Union County, NC on March 3, 1935 son of the late Grat Hall and Myrtle Helms Springs. Mr. Springs was a retired employee of Charlotte Pipe Foundry Co. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at Grace Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Springs is survived by his wife, Wanda Adams Springs, son, Danny Ray Springs and wife Linda, daughter, Penny Springs Bowden and husband Kenneth, brother, Billy Grat Springs, of Indian Trail, sisters, Shirley Springs Pressley, Doris Springs Russell and Stella Springs Knight all of Indian Trail, Nancy Jo Springs Tarlton of Wingate, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
