Charles Reed Sutton, 82, died Saturday, May 24, 2014. Mr. Sutton was born in Union County, NC, February 27, 1932, son of the late Charlie Cleve and Margie Miller Sutton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, May 26, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife Edith Williams Sutton; sons, Danny Reid Sutton of Ft. Lawn, SC, Mike Sutton of Phoenix City, Alabama, Roy Cleve Sutton of Monroe, NC and Ricky Sutton of Marshville, NC; daughter Janet Denton of Marshville, NC; brother Joe Neal Sutton of Marshville, NC; sisters Delores Richardson and Vera Burgess of Monroe, NC; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
