Mr. Charles Olin York, 88, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, November 8,2019. Charles was born in Union County on October 31,1931 to the late James Andrew “J.A.” York and Bessie Medlin York. He was also preceded in death by six brothers, six sisters, son-in-law Dale Austin, and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Williams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 5417 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be held at 10:00am Monday, November 11, 2019 in Lakeland Memorial Park. At other times the family will be at the home of Greg and Dawn York, 2406 East. Lawyers Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years Geraldine Morgan York, three sons; Mike York, (Sherry) Steve York, (Amy) and Greg York, (Dawn), daughter Anne Austin, brother Donald York, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
