Charlie Douglas Helms

Charlie Douglas Helms, 56, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. He was born in Union County, NC on January 28, 1959 son of Magalene Pressley Helms and the late Charlie Helms. Mr. Helms was a US Army veteran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ritch Cemetery. Mr. Helms is survived by his mother, his wife, Willie Ruth Martin Helms, sons, David A. Poole, Richard D. Helms, Juston W. Helms and Harley C. Helms, daughter, Tina P. Jackson, brothers, Vann B. Helms and Brian Helms, sisters, Kathy Melton and Diane Piercy, all of Monroe, grandchildren, Wyatt and Gabrielle Poole, Nathaniel, Patrick, and Noah Jackson, Jonathan, Emily and Kaitlyn Helms, T.J. Watkins, Austin and Makenzie Meadows, Dawson Ester, Alexis Duvall, Juston Jr., Kalee and Lilly Helms and 1 great grandchild, Billy Ester.
