Clarence Blackburn

Clarence Edward Blackburn, 88, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012. He was born in York County, SC on September 25, 1923 son of the late Murphy Vanford and Jennie Goldie Williams Blackburn. Mr. Blackburn was the retired owner of C B Appliance Repair and was a US Army WWII veteran. A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Blackburn is survived by his wife, Mary Walters Blackburn, step-sons, Bobby Dowless of Monroe and Billy Dowless of Ocean Isle, NC, daughters, Judy Spears of Monroe, Paula Jones of Charlotte, Rita French of Bakersfield, CA, and 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
