Clarence Edward “Eddie” Watkins 55, died Saturday, January 19, 2008. Eddie was born May 4, 1952 in Union County NC. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 1:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. He is survived by his parents Billy Edward and Betty Elizabeth Mullis Watkins of Indian Trail, his loving wife Cathy Ferguson Watkins of Indian Trail, one son Derek Watkins of Indian Trail, two stepsons Jonathan Helms wife (Kelly) of Monroe, and Alex Helms wife (Beth) of Indian Trail, one sister Elizabeth “Lib” Watkins of Charlotte, six grandchildren Derek Watkins Jr, Katey Watkins, Emma Helms, Ian Helms, Jackson Helms, and Lydia Helms. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 7:00PM until 8:30PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe.
