Clayton Carroll Deason

Clayton Carroll Deason, 74, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016. He was born November 4, 1941 in Union County, son of the late Clayton Deason and Annie Mae Aycoth Deason Montgomery and step-father, Raymond Montgomery. Funeral services will be Monday, February 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 6907 Gus Eubanks Road, Monroe, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Deason is survived by his wife, Clara Morton Deason; sons, Tim Deason of Pageland, Josh Deason and fiancé Brittany Yow of Monroe; daughters, Freda Helms of Charlotte, Gwen Deason and husband Jimmy Watts of Pageland, Greta Richardson of Pageland and Lauren Deason and husband David Haddock of Locust; step-sons, Ronnie Parker and wife Deana of Monroe and Kelly Parker and wife Tricia of Monroe; brothers, Tony Deason and wife Terry of Monroe and Ed Deason and wife Joyce of Stallings; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends and relatives Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.
