Coleman (Cole) David Hadley, 29, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4th. He was born to Jeff and Karmen Hadley from Monroe on April 27th 1995.
Cole loved his family, friends and dog Buddy more than anything in life. His happiest times were with family, chatting with friends, and relaxing with Buddy every possible opportunity. Cole would send regularly scripture, inspirational music, videos or quotes to his parents and sisters regularly. He loved singing, karaoke, making people laugh, giving encouragement, eating spicy food and sushi, growing vegetable plants, and he was a master at accepting spam calls and pranking them. He enjoyed watching and listening to podcasts in the evening, and most recently, group chats that were the social outlet for a young man working from home. It provided the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and at times offered a chance to encourage others. He had aspirations of starting his own pod-cast, doing comedy standup, or starting a side business online that allowed him to use the unique ability to communicate with all people, bring laughter or lead his own passions. He enjoyed his weekly visits from his dad, where they laughed, ate and talked about life. He would often go to his mom for advice with the ladies, knowing she would put it straight the way a southern momma does…
Cole lived in downtown Monroe and enjoyed the local businesses and festivities the town offers. He thoroughly enjoyed the explosion of food delivery services like DoorDash, since his focus after a hard day’s work was to relocate from his home office to the downstairs couch for some “Buddy time” and a good meal to relax. Cole began a career at Better Car People located in Monroe, where he instantly was a success as a customer service representative who led the contact center in customer appointments for a number of years. He became a Supervisor and later moved into a Customer Account Manager position, where he advised dealerships on the Customer Relationship Software and onboarded new clients ensuring they were trained and understood the product functionality. He was a respected team member from all and was preparing for additional responsibilities where he could add further value to the company.
Cole is survived by his parents Jeff and Karmen Hadley of Monroe N.C., sister Julia Grace Hadley of Monroe N.C., Olivia Willis (husband Ryan Willis), grandparents Alline C. Plyler of Monroe N.C., Becky Hadley of Charlotte N.C. and Britt Hadley of Oak Island N.C. He was proceeded in death by his grandfather David Plyler of Monroe N.C.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30pm on Saturday, November 16th, followed by a celebration of life at 1:45 at Gordon Funeral Service located at 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe N.C. 28112.
