Cortez Munro Williams, Jr., 78, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017. He was born in Union County on October 6, 1938, son of the late Cortez Munro and Emma Lee Gordon Williams. The family will visit with friends and relatives Friday, January 13, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, followed by burial in the Waxhaw City Cemetery. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Sarah Carter Williams of Waxhaw; son, Rick Williams and wife Patricia of Waxhaw and a granddaughter, Lisa Williams.
