Coy Cecil Helms, Jr, 65, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021. He is the son of the late Coy Cecil Helms, Sr. and Helen Hill Helms. The family will receive friends and family Tuesday, August 10, 2021, 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Shining Light Baptist Church, 2541 Old Charlotte Avenue, Monroe, NC 28110. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Shining Light Baptist Church with a private burial at Lakeland Memorial Park. Following the service a reception will be held at Shining Light Baptist South Campus, 1320 South Hayne Street Monroe, NC 28112. Cecil is survived by his loving wife Connie Cook Helms; two sons, William Helms (Leah) and Joseph Helms; and one sister Patty Hinson (Dale).
