Curtis Lee Billingsley

Curtis Lee Billingsley passed away February 4th, 2012 at his home. He was born on June 17, 1926 in Union county and was the son of the late Tinnie Pressley and Lee Thomas Billingsley. Curt was a faithful servant of our lord as a founding member of Benton Heights Methodist church and current member of Open Book Baptist Church. Curt's loves were his wife Faye, family and friends. Days surrounded by his children and grandchildren were his favorite. Curt enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and fishing trips to the coast. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Plyler Billingsley, sons, Ronald Lee Billingsley (Myra) of Monroe, Steve Billingsley (Tanya) of Monroe, brothers Oscar Billingsley of Monroe, Gus Billingsley of Monroe, sister Dorothy Parks of Monroe, grandchildren Ryan Billingsley (Brandy), Greg Billingsley (Megan), Shannon Billingsley, Micaela Billingsley, Jake Billingsley, and Hannah Billingsley, great grandchildren Kimberly, Hailey, Charley, and Braylyn. The family will receive friends Monday, February 6, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Open Book Baptist Church 2850 Old Charlotte Hwy, Monroe, NC, 28110 followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM at the Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County 700 W Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC, 28110.
