Curtis “Reece” Staton,75, died Saturday, October 11, 2014. He was born in Union County, NC on February 15, 1939 son of the late Walter Fred and Neeta Mary Thomas Staton. Mr. Staton was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife Doris Ann Thomas Staton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Staton is survived by his children, daughters, Tamara Watson and husband John of Concord, Kendra Carnes and husband Jeremy of Waxhaw, brothers, Roy B. Staton of Rockwell, Walter Staton of Weddington, grandchildren, John Tyler Watson of Concord, and Cameron Reece Carnes of Waxhaw. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S.
