Dale Edgar Hillard, 90, of Monroe, NC passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026. He was born in Elwood, Indiana, on January 24, 1936, son to the late George Hillard and Josephine Cole Hillard. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Hillard and Joanne Hillard (Fosler).

Dale lived a full life working as a farm hand. He loved football, mules, and being in the country.

No funeral services will be held at this time.

Dale is survived by his sister, Beverly Sue Hillard-Breece, brother, David Hewlett, five children, Kimberly Hillard-Reaves, Karen Hillard-Hernandez, Kevin Hillard, Kelly Hillard-McAlear, Karl Hillard, ex-wife, Susan Lehman-Hillard, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews.
