Daniel Scott Shortt Daniel, 16, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010. He was born April 7, 1993 in Henrico County, VA. Daniel was a member of the Junior class at Piedmont High School, a member of the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Explorer Unit for the Union County Sheriffs Department. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Highway, Monroe, NC 28110. A visitation will be held Monday April 5, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. in Lakeview Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Kathryn Murphy Shortt; his brothers, Andrew Shortt and wife Cassandra, and Matthew Shortt; his grandparents, C.
