Danielle Lea Riley Gasperson, age 51 of Monroe, NC passed away on the morning of Tuesday, December 26th, 2023. Danielle was surrounded by her family, friends, and her fur babies. Danielle was born in Hayward City, CA on February 16th, 1972, loving daughter to David and Teresa Wells Riley of San Jose, CA.
Danielle was a loving mother to her wonderful sons Conner Gasperson and Sean Gasperson. Danielle lived for her boys, doing anything and everything she could for them. Throughout her lifetime, Danielle volunteered at both Conner and Sean’s schools, making sure they got the best experience. Danielle also volunteered as a stats keeper while both of her boys played hockey. Danielle made sure that her boys had the best birthdays, holidays, dates, and anything that contributed to them. Danielle also made sure that her boys knew she supported them in anything they did; whether that meant late-night talks, decision-making, and anything that was going on in their lives. Prior to Danielle’s passing, she told her husband, Tony Gasperson, “Conner and Sean make her so very proud to have them and call them her sons”. They have both grown into wonderful, hardworking, loving, and caring young men. We are so very proud of them.
Danielle was a wonderful wife, best friend, and comforter to her loving husband, Tony Gasperson, of 23 years of marriage and 25 years altogether. The story of Tony and Danielle’s meeting was arranged by a friend of Tony’s through a blind date. From that moment on, Tony knew from the bottom of his heart that Danielle was his soulmate and the love of his life. Throughout their lifetime together, they were inseparable, they did everything together. Through the memories of going to Disneyland and Disneyworld every year, to biking, hiking, camping, rollerblading, and long walks talking about their lives together. Tony figured out early on that his Wife, Danielle was a huge Tigger fan and her favorite quote was “The wonderful thing about Tigger is, I am the only one”, meaning Danielle is the only one for Tony. The family is going to miss her so very much.
A celebration of Danielle’s life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 in The Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe NC 28112.
