Darrell Burton Catron

Darrell Burton Catron, 89, of Monroe, NC passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. He was born in Wythe County, VA on September 26, 1930 to the late Lewis H. Sr. and Vivian K. Catron. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Martha Ann Graham Catron, siblings, Lewis H. Catron Jr. “J.R.”, Charles C. Catron, Dewey W. Catron and William R. Catron “Rabbit”. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Lakeland Memorial Park. Darrell retired from the United States Air Force Reserves and the United States Postal Service. Darrell is survived by his daughter Candy Knight (Tim) of Monroe, brother, Rodney N. Catron (Carrie) of VA Beach, VA, sister, Helen C. Wilson of Wytheville, VA, two granddaughters, Bridget Helms (Cam) and Stacy Hutchison (Aaron), 2 great-grandsons, Tyler Cook and Chase Helms, and a son at heart Greg Pender. He had a deep love for his family including sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
