Darrell Matthew "Matt" Fincher

Darrell Matthew ‘Matt” Fincher, AKA “Oose” 35, of Weddington, NC passed away December 3, 2020. He was born in Union County on June 26, 1985 to the late Ruben Darrell Fincher and Kathy Price Fincher. An outdoor funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 3016 Twelve Mile Creek Road, Matthews, NC 28104, seating will be available or you’re welcome to bring your own chair, for social distancing. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery, 4817 Friendly Church Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079. Matt was a devoted loving husband, he enjoyed his family and friends, especially his niece and nephews. Matt never met a stranger and had a servant’s heart, always willing to help others. He was a people person who valued friendships and relationships. Family was at the top of his list. He was always joking or pulling pranks. Matt was known for his wheeling and dealing skills, he enjoyed buying and selling and loved a good yard sale, his only enemies in life were those that beat him to a good deal. He enjoyed everything outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, camping, cooking out and lawn mowing. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Monday, December 7, 2020 at Gordon Funeral Service & Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Matt is survived by his loving wife Mary Beth Groome Fincher, sister, Belinda Fincher Spurlock (Seth); brother, Chris Fincher; grandmother, Linda Price; father-in-law and mother-in-law Barry and Jacky Groome; brother-in-law’s, Alan Groome (Jessica) and Matthew Groome (Monica); many Uncles and Aunts, one niece Reese Groome, four nephews, Brock Groome, Evan Spurlock, Darren Spurlock and Ethan Spurlock.
