David Alexander Benton, 57, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015. He was born January 29, 1958 in Moore County, NC, son of the late John D. Ann Shaw Tiddy Benton. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lamar Benton and Ben Gulledge. A memorial service will be Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM in First Presbyterian Church, 302 E. Windsor St., Monroe, NC. The family will visit with friends and family following the service. Mr. Benton is survived by his wife, Jennifer Benson Benton; daughters, Ashley Benton Knight and husband Josh and Brittany Benton Gaskins and husband Jeremy; grandchildren, Laina Knight, Lydia Knight, Brody Watson and Isla Gaskins; and sisters, Helen Gulledge of Charlotte and Paulette Benton of Lillington, NC.
