David Lynn Carter, 52, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014. He was born on October 27, 1961 son of the late David Wertz and Dorothy Carter. Mr. Carter was a City of Charlotte employee and a US Army veteran. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will be held at 1:00 PM in the Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC, Mr. Carter was a loving father to his two children; son, Johnathan Carter and daughter, Angela Carter. He is also survived by his sister, Celeste Gagliardi as well as his step mother Stella Wertz.
