David Dexter Wilson, 67, of Gaffney, SC, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018. He was born in Lenoir, NC, on December 14, 1950. David was preceded in death by his father Dexter Wilson. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC, 28112, with full military honors. Inurnment will follow the service at 2:00pm, in Salisbury National Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Davenport Wilson, two sons, Dexter Wilson, wife Brandy of Rock Hill, SC, and Jacob Wilson, two daughters, Angela Moree, husband Marty of Pageland SC, and Patricia Wilson of Monroe, a brother, Johnny Wilson of Weddington, NC, and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
