David Larry Moore, 70, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013. He was born in Union County, June 22, 1943 son of the late Richard and Annie Medlin Moore. Mr. Moore was a retired US Army veteran and also a retired employee of Monroe Hardware Co. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Solid Rock Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Becky Little Moore, son, David Moore and wife Betsy of Lexington, SC, daughters, Beverly Gay and husband Greg of Monroe, Terri Taylor and husband Alan of Indian Trail, Barby Johnson and husband Wes of Denver, brothers, Richard A. Moore and Mike Moore, both of Monroe, sisters, Pat Gaddy of Monroe and Cathy Yandle of Waxhaw, grandchildren, Crystal and husband Steven, Alica, Heather and husband Chris, Ashley, Rachel, Beth and husband Ben, Jessi, Errick, Derrick, Sarah Beth, Kathryn, Aaron and Britton and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
