David Woodrow “Woody” Surratt, 77, of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was born in Union County on July 4, 1944 son to the late Wilburn Woodrow Surratt and Lula Elizabeth Helms Surratt. He is also preceded in death by his brother Charles “Chucky” Surratt and sister Becky Surratt Couick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Service. David is survived by his loving wife Pamela Craig Surratt, son Jason Surratt, daughter Wendy Hicks, brother Billy Ray “Binky” Surratt, sister Diane Surratt Grainger, Kathy Surratt Stokes, two grandchildren Michaela Griffin and Stephanie Hicks.
