Deana Simpson Byrum, 64, of Monroe, NC passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Union County, NC on September 24, 1961, daughter to the late Ray Dean Simpson and Barbara Hyatt Simpson. She is also preceded by her two brothers, Dennis Simpson and Bobby Simpson, as well as her sister Lori Simpson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, the family will receive friends following the service at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Deana is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Reggie Byrum, son, Daniel Byrum, grandson, Jackson Byrum, and brother, Jesse Simpson (Lori).

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105.
