Mrs. Debra McWhorter Wallace, 66, of Monroe, NC passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020. She was born in Union County on June 13, 1954, daughter to the late Robert Lee McWhorter and Betty Starnes McWhorter, she is also preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary Voglewede. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church, 3703 Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30PM until 2:45PM at the church. Debra is survived by her loving husband, Charles Marvin Wallace “Spot”; son, Robert “Bobby” Wallace (Devin); daughter, Dawn Wallace Voglewede (Charles); brother, Monty McWhorter; sister, Denise Lingerfelt; seven grandchildren, Ashton Wallace, Amber Szoke (Joey), Noah Voglewede, Logan Voglewede, Grayson Wallace, Andrew Wallace, Jonah Wallace and one great-grandchild, Olivia Szoke. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church Building Fund, 3703 Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173.
