Delana (Ross) Helms

Delana Ross Helms, 85, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She was born in Union County, NC on November 6, 1932, daughter of the late John Velton and Daisie Mae Baucom Ross. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Helms, Sr.; her brother, William V. Ross and her sister, Frances Ross Long. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Plantation Estates Club House, 606 Birch View Drive, Matthews, NC 28105. The family will visit with friends and relatives following the service. A graveside service will be Thursday at 2:00 PM in Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum. Ms. Helms is survived by her sons, Charles Franklin Helms, Jr. of Florence, SC and John Alexander Helms of Monroe; daughter Deborah Delana Helms of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; seven grandchildren and her brother, David Anthony Ross of Marshville.
