Delane Oree (Keeter) Vestal

Delane K. Vestal, 70, of Monroe, passed away Monday January 23, 2017, at her home. She was born September 8, 1946 in Monroe, a daughter of the late Herman and Nellie Broome Keeter. She was preceded in death two sisters, Nancy Hammonds, Lillian Pate, two brothers, Nathan Keeter, Frank Keeter, a daughter Martha Elaine Street, and a granddaughter, Abbie Ross. Funeral services for Mrs. Vestal will be Friday January 27, 2017 at 2:00pm at Good News Baptist Church, 3009 Medlin Road Monroe with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30PM Thursday January 26, 2017 at Gordon Funeral Service. Mrs. Vestal is survived by her husband of 33 years, Roger Vestal, two sons, Donald Ross of Monroe, David Ross, of Monroe, three daughters, Barbara “Bobbie” Jones of Wingate, Lisa Ross of Spartanburg, SC, Rhonda Harrison of Monroe, two brothers Arter Keeter and Louie Keeter both of Monroe, three sisters Ruby Starnes of Wingate, Thelma Smith and Theresa Smith both of Monroe, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
