Monroe, NC Delmar Ervin Medlin, Sr., 57, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011. He was born in Cabarrus County, NC on August 23, 1953, son of the late Delmar Rowland and Margie Medlin. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will greet friends following the service. Mr. Medlin is survived by his father, Kemp Medlin and wife Mabel of Lancaster, SC, mother, Josephine Rowland of Gold Hill, wife, Darlene Medlin, sons, Delmar Ervin Medlin, Jr., of Indian Trail, Joseph Marvin Medlin of Waxhaw and Joseph Evander Modelski of the home, daughter, Miranda M. Helms of Mineral Springs, brothers, Neil Medlin of Indian Trail, Jimmy Medlin of Monroe, Ken Medlin of Lancaster, SC, Larry Rowland of Gold Hill, sisters, Della Sue Rowland of Gold Hill, Jeanette Hewitt of High Rock Lake, NC, Sheila Goodnight of Gold Hill, Shirley Hughes of Mineral Springs and Daisy Baucom of Ruby, SC, 7 grandchildren, Jessica Ann, Austin Taylor, Alyssa Brooke and Benjamin Ervin Medlin, Savannah Grace, Riley Faith and Tristan Blake Helms.
