Dennis Earl Linthicum, 80, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016. He was born in Fayette County, WV on April 2, 1936, son of the late Herbert and Dreama Russell Linthicum. He loved to read and fish. He was a self-taught mechanic and loved to “piddle” and work on cars. He also loved singing and reading scripture. The family will visit with friends and relatives on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 1:00 - 1:45 PM in Gordon Funeral Service prior to the funeral at 2:00 PM. A committal service will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Linthicum is survived by his wife, Patricia Freeman Linthicum, his children, Danny Linthicum of Monroe, Becky McAuley and husband Mike of Waxhaw, Lori Linthicum of Monroe, Alex Oroszi of Ruby, SC and Don Linthicum of Flat Rock, NC; grandchildren, Kelly Linthicum of Monroe, Jason Oroszi of Florida, Chris Linthicum and wife Andrea of Waxhaw, Jeremy Oroszi, Byron Watkins and Dakota Watkins, all of Monroe; great-grandchildren, Piper Linthicum and Paisley Linthicum (who is due in three weeks); two brothers and five sisters.
