Dillon Ray Laney

Dateline: Monroe, NC Dillon Ray Laney, 70, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013. He was born February 9, 1942 in Union County son to the late Ray Vann and Kathleen Anderson Laney. He is also preceded in death by his brother Roger Laney, and a sister Judy Laney. He retired from Charlotte Plastics and was an avid hunter with L L Hunt Club in Taxihall, SC. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and playing with his best friend “Killa” the dog. A memorial service will be held on 5:00 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. Dillon is survived by his wife Judy Laney, two daughters Christy Davis and husband Chris of Raleigh,Brandi Laney and partner Jef Pollock of Wilmington, a sister Kathy Benton of Monroe, step daughter Tracy Simpson of Monroe, step grandsons Bailey and Trey Simpson, and many nieces and nephews.
