Don S. Simpson, 79, of Monroe, NC passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. Don was born in Union County on October 29, 1939 son to the late Bernard and Reitha Broadway Simpson. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Earl Simpson and a sister-in-law, Kay Simpson. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 12:30pm until 1:45pm., at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm, Lakeland Memorial Park. Don is survived by his loving wife Arlene Jenkins Simpson, son, Don Scott Simpson, three daughters; Karen Hamilton, husband Carlton, Tammy Baucom, husband Greg, Monte Boswell, husband Todd, two brothers; Dewell Simpson and Jerry Simpson, wife Elva, sister, Johnnie Mae Pierce, husband Joe, sister-in-law Sibyl Simpson, and nine grandchildren; Bradley Starnes, Kristen Burns, Logan Starnes, Luke Baucom, Carley B. Greene, Carl Hamilton, Santana, Reece and Lantz Boswell, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren.
