Donald Alan English, 73, of Monroe, NC passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 23, 1952, son to the late Harry Lester English and Edith Googe English. He is also preceded in death by his brother, John English.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judy Benson English, three sons, Donald “Donnie” English (Tabetha), Brian English (Brittney), Christopher English (Kaitlin), daughter, Sara English (Chris Rigo), four grandchildren, Haley English, Bryson English, Brooklyn English, Ella English and one on the way, numerous precious nieces and nephews as well as a precious mother in law Helen Benson and sister in law Vicky Benson Brooks (Dave).

Donald was a very proud Marine, avid fisherman, and golfing enthusiasts. He loved his family and children dearly. A very short cancer diagnosis took Alan from us. He was comforted by having his family always with him.
