Donald Reid Baucom

Donald Reid Baucom, 81, of Indian Trail, NC passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on February 28, 1942, son of the late Roy Burdette and Vangie Williams Baucom. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Lee Baucom and sister, Joyce Hefner.

In his professional career, he was a barber. He had a passion for planting trees and shrubs and landscaping his yard. He also had a love for gospel music and he loved spending time with his family.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Indian Trail, NC, followed by burial. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 2:00 - 3:45 PM prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Baucom is survived by his wife, Catherine Broadway Baucom; sons, Chris Baucom (Deanna) and Rodney Baucom (Kelly); grandchildren, Chase Baucom, Chandler Baucom (Kari), Ashton Baucom Taylor (Benny), Kylee Baucom (Kevin), Carsyn McDonald (Kevin), Reagan Baucom and Casie Baucom; and sister, Frances Baucom Presson (Johnny).
